Charles “Charlie” Allen, Associate Attorney, identifies as a Colorado native, as his father is Coloradan. Charlie has over seven years of representing clients both at the Public Defender’s office and the Law Offices of Clifton Black, PC. He works hard to exceed his client’s expectations both inside and outside the courthouse; from negotiating favorable plea deals, and earning acquittals in trials, to resolving contested Family Law disputes.

Charlie has represented thousands of clients with legal issues ranging from divorce, custody disputes, protection orders, domestic violence charges, DUI/DWAI, theft, trespassing, revocation of probation cases, and evictions. Charlie prides himself on his ability to negotiate with Opposing Counsels and District Attorneys. Through zealous negotiations, motions hearings, and pretrial conferences, he supports his clients in obtaining the best possible position while resolving their cases. However, sometimes negotiations fail and as a veteran trial attorney, Charlie isn’t afraid of defending his client’s rights in court. Charles has represented numerous clients in jury trials, defending DUIs, domestic violence charges, voter fraud charges, drug charges, and more.

When it comes to Family Law, Charlie zealously supports his clients through the most challenging time of their lives. He is attentive when counseling his clients, providing reassurance through the process but also providing truths that clients may not want to hear but need to know. Charlie puts his clients first and works extremely hard to help his clients achieve their goals while also being personable and treating his clients like individuals rather than just another case.

Charlie and his family returned to Colorado to be closer to family in January of 2018. Charlie enjoys spending time with his family, playing poker, watching Star Wars, and following the Denver Broncos, the Rockies, and the Avs.
