With concerns about spreading COVID-19, The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention are asking to avoid high risk activities to help prevent the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19. For example: Participating in traditional trick-or-treating where treats are handed to children who go door to door.

Instead here are some safe alternative activity ideas for you and your family to enjoy.

  • Carving pumpkins with members of your household, or outside, at a safe distance, with neighbors or friends
  • Decorating your house, apartment, or living space
  • Having a Halloween movie night with people you live with or Having an outdoor Halloween movie night with family/ friends with people spaced at least 6 feet apart
