Biography
Attorney Gerald D. Arrington, practicing Criminal Defense in Colorado, came to our office after leaving his home state of Virginia, where he served three terms as the elected Commonwealth’s Attorney (D.A.). Gerald is an experienced trial lawyer who has practiced criminal law since 2004.
Gerald is now putting that invaluable experience to work for you as a zealous hard-hitting advocate for your rights. Having won hundreds of cases before judges and juries, Gerald knows what it takes to win— extensive trial experience, tireless dedication, thorough preparation, and open client communication lines.
No matter how serious the crime, Gerald likely has experience handling it, often as both a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. He has tried numerous cases involving Murder, Vehicular homicide, Sexual Assault, Drug Distribution, and Firearm Crimes.
Gerald also understands that for many clients, more minor cases such as D.U.I., Domestic Violence, or Simple Drug Possession can have huge impacts on one’s life.
While Gerald loves to try cases in front of judges and juries, he understands the importance of obtaining a favorable result as quickly as possible. Using his extensive negotiating skills, it is his goal to obtain a dismissal or deferred disposition if possible without having to put his clients through the stress of trial.
In 2008, Arrington founded and operated a successful private practice focusing on criminal defense. As a criminal defense attorney, he successfully litigated hundreds of cases in the district, circuit, and appellate courts of Virginia. He held a superb trial record and obtained numerous acquittals, including a sexual assault jury trial.
In 2012, Gerald Arrington was elected as Commonwealth’s Attorney for Buchanan County, Virginia and closed his practice. After serving 3 terms, Gerald began preparations to move his family to Colorado, a state that they have always loved, to join his oldest son who proudly served in the USAF before going to work for the government.
